When Torii Hunter hit that home run and there was still no one in the bullpen, impending doom wiped away my stifled, confidential joy.
They pulled him after five OConnor. I stopped watching in the eighth, at 5-1, only to see from my window seat at a restaurant in West Harlem neighborhood Gs running around wild slapping each other around, a full hour and a half after I thought the game was over. I just sat there with my burrito and thought, is Felix Trinidad fighting tonight? Cuz that game... Good Lord...
